BLACK MAN SHUTS DOWN THE POLICE
YouTube is full of videos where young white men, often times armed, stand up to police and force the officers to back down. With African-Americans, however, the rules are often different and knowing your rights will get you Tasered or worse. One African-American man recorded an encounter with police where he avoided getting arrested or shοt while preserving his rights.
When cops knocked on his door looking for a fugitive, Avel Amarel was determined to record the incident and not allow officers to illegally enter his home, according to a video posted on TheFreeThoughtProject.com.
Police told Amarel that they wanted to search his home because of an incident that occurred in the parking lot, but Amarel told the officers that the person they were looking for was not inside his home and he wasn’t allowing police to enter without a warrant.
Early in the encounter, an officer attempts to get Amarel to stop recording cell phone video, using the excuse that he didn’t know what the object was. Amarel informed the officer that the object in question was a cell phone and continued recording.
Throughout the video, Amarel refuses to let up, asking officers for three forms of identification. The officers never present any ID, but ask Amarel for ID, but he refuses. Amarel asks the officers whether he’s suspected of a crime and when the officers explain again about the fugitive, Amarel tells them that only he and his family are at the home.
did they come back for him?
Police Officer- ” we don’t know what he looks like”
So what do they need to come to anyone’s house for?? If they were that concerned about finding the “fugitive” they should have been more concerned about getting an eyewitness account from people not pushing into people’s homes to do who knows what.
I love seeing cops getting put in their place, as rare as it is.
Also that cop wasn’t slick trying to use that flashlight to obscure the video on the phone, obvious sign that they were up to no good.
Wikipedia has blocked all computers from the House of Representatives from editing any of their content — because someone with an IP address from the House has been trolling the site with transphobic edits.
Since earlier this week, comments have been appearing misgendering Laverne Cox, using slurs on pages about trans people, changing the definition of gender identity disorder, and citing notorious asshole Gavin McInnes in descriptions of trans people and transphobia. Wikipedia editors were forced to intervene when the person (or people) continued to make edit after edit.
This is the third time THIS SUMMER the House has been blocked from Wikipedia for “disruptive editing” by anonymous users.
The person using the IP address responded — without revealing their identity — that the malicious edits were in fact “official business” endorsed by a member of the House. Their changes, they said, were intended to bring “fairness” to the discussion.
“There’s nothing illegal about editing Wikipedia to promote official business that has been explicitly authourized [sic] by the Representative,” the userwrote.
“When you have other Representatives trying to push for laws such as [the Employment Non-Discrimination Act],” the user continued, “or when you have the [European Union] using neocolonialist methods to impose transgenderism on the nation of Georgia through a visa agreement, it’s all the more important.” …
After this most recent banning, the outlawed anti-trans user wrote, “Blocked because I disagreed with the trans-lobby? These days, If I complain about a man using the womyn’s restroom then I’m cosidered transphobic and get called a TERF. This has been happening a lot lately here in the halls of Congress. If feeling uncomfortable about some creeper coming into the same bathroom as me is considered transphobic, then why is transphobia considered a bad thing? I wouldn’t be surprised if the Admin who banned this IP is trans. If she is a real woman, then she should should be following real Feminists like Julie Bindel, not sellouts to the trans lobby like Anita Sarkeesian. People need to understand that transgenderism is being promoted by the Patriarchy to diminish the experiences of real womyn.”
Our elected officials, my friends.
We go forward.
This is exactly how physics does not work.
Why didn’t she just use the lipstick on the door?
From Tweet to Tee. Thanks, Mighty Fine.

Ragyo Kiryuin preview! …Of course I realized immediately after I took my makeup off that I’d forgot to put on the collar but oh well. This also does not include the feather boa/cape, but I wanted to be sure to put some preview pics up before Colossalcon!
The wig took forever and a day, but I’m actually really happy with how it turned out. There were a few things I’d really wanted to accomplish with it: It needed to both light up and look good while turned off. It also needed to be portable for wearing around a convention. I find that EL wire tends to not photograph well during the daytime, while LEDs can be too bright if they aren’t diffused. So I ended up packing a hollow foam space with superbright 5050 LEDs, and then diffusing them with wig fiber laid on top of a plexiglass screen. The wig runs off of 4 to 8 AA’s and is monstrously bright - the color is hard to see on cameraphones while in darker spaces, but I’m looking to experiment with the voltage to get a more consistent photo range.
